About Cynthia: Her fascination with books and their mechanics has been a life interest coupled with an enthusiasm for ephemera and being a bit of a bibliophile. More than 25 years ago, she started making journals, lap books, and stationery for friends and family. Along the way, she got married, raised a family, completed her MFA and worked for a variety of non-profits and educational institutions, edited two collections of family letters for print, and launched a commercial interactive journal. Bold Pocket Press began from a desire to reconnect people to the wide and varied construction of books and the many benefits of journal and letter writing. She has a passion for wonderment, particularly as it brings people back to analog experiences. The world is going digital, yet we need tactile interaction more than ever.
